What should I feed my dog?

Dogs should have a balanced diet which provides them with all the nutrients they require. They can eat some vegetables as well as meat. If you want to give them a home-made diet you may need to supplement with vitamins and minerals. This is not necessary if you feed a preparatory brand of dog food. Tinned or dry biscuit type foods are available and the type you choose depends on what you and your pet prefer. There is a current idea that dogs should be fed a diet of raw meaty bones and this is fine if you wish, but don't cook bones before you give them to your dog.
